There are times that we feel all hope is lost. It might be that you are the victim of circumstances you couldn’t control. It might be that you created the circumstances yourself and now you are stuck. But, no matter what created the situation you are facing, there is hope!
Brian Bolt knows all about this. He was caught in a downward spiral that led him to the brink of death. One thing led to another and suddenly, he was faced with death itself… and he welcomed it. Fortunately, his story didn’t end with bloodshed; instead, it begins there.
As Brian lay bleeding and dying in an ambulance, he was confronted with the knowledge that he would die. He realized that his past actions and his present choices made his future uncertain. He needed help. It came through the ambulance attendant.
That man shared hope with Brian Bolt. He spoke of someone who fixes impossible situations. That someone is Jesus Christ, God’s own Son. Brian realized he needed a Savior and from the moment he cried out to God, his situation changed.
Maybe you feel desperate and alone. Perhaps you have lost all hope. The same Jesus who helped Brian Bolt will help you. He offers to lift the heavy burden from your shoulders and to give you new life.
You might think that you don’t need a Savior. You may have convinced yourself that you can fix this problem yourself. However, you know that your best efforts have left you fighting a losing battle for hope. Brian Bolt found that Jesus can be the difference between living a fulfilled life and dying in despair. Jesus can help you too.
It all begins with a simple prayer:
Dear Jesus, I am stuck in a situation I cannot change. I have lost hope and need Your help. Please do for me what you did for Brian Bolt. Help me to discover a new life that comes from you. I am sorry for the wrong things I have done. Please help me to live for You and make You the Savior of my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
