Hopelessness

 

1. Psalm 9:9-12
   “¹ The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. ¹⁰ And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. ¹¹ Sing praises to the Lord, who sits enthroned in Zion! Tell among the peoples his deeds! ¹² For he who avenges blood is mindful of them; he does not forget the cry of the afflicted.”
2. Psalm 25:5
   “⁵ Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”
3. Psalm 34:17-19
   “¹⁷ When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. ¹⁸ The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. ¹⁹ Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

   “⁷ And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.”
5. Psalm 40:1-2
   “¹ I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. ² He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.”
6. Psalm 42:5
   “⁵ Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation.”
7. Psalm 91:1-16

For who hopes for what he sees? ²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. ²⁶ Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness.     “¹³ No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
20. Philippians 4:11-13
