You Can Know God Better
Learn this about God:
The Bible will help you know God better. Jesus will help you know God better. God’s Spirit will help you know Him better. God’s people will help you know Him better. You will know God better in heaven.
These words are from the Bible. Read them aloud 5 times.
The Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we know the true God. 1 John 5:20
For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. John 3:16
The Bible will help you know God better.
The Bible teaches you many things about God. Read the Bible every day to know God better. God will speak to you through His book.
Jesus will help you know God better.
God is three Persons in one—God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. If one is with you, all three are with you. Jesus became a man to help us know God. Jesus’ mother was a good woman named Mary. Mary’s husband was named Joseph. But Joseph wasn’t Jesus’ father. Jesus’ Father was God.
When Jesus was born, angels sang praise to God. They told some shepherds the Savior was born. The shepherds were happy when they found Jesus. God had sent His Son to be their Savior. God had come to be with the people in His Son.
When Jesus grew up, He told people about God. He showed them what God wants to do for people. He touched blind people and made them see. He healed the sick, the crippled, the deaf. He made sad people happy and bad people good. He even brought dead people back to life. He did everything God told Him to do.
Jesus died on a cross to save us from sin. He was buried but came back to life again. Later His friends saw Him go to heaven. He is coming again for those who love Him— all who have accepted Him to be their Savior. Those who have died will come back to life. Jesus will take us to heaven with Him.
God’s Spirit will help you know Him better.
God has sent His Spirit to live in His people. When you accept Jesus into your heart, God’s Spirit comes to live within you. God is with you in the Holy Spirit. Jesus is with you in the Holy Spirit. God’s Spirit helps you talk with God in prayer. Talking with God will help you know Him better. Ask the Holy Spirit to come and live in you. He will help you live for God and know Him better.
God’s people will help you know Him better.
God wants His people to help others know Him . Those who know Jesus tell others about Him. They meet to study God’s Word and pray. They tell people what God has done for them. Meet with God’s people to learn more about Him. Tell your friends what you know about God so they can be saved and go to heaven too.
You will know God better in heaven.
When you go to heaven, you will see God. You will hear Him talk to you. You will understand many things then that you can’t understand now. You will see how wonderful God is. You will know God better and love Him more. And you will live with Him forever.
Prayer
Thank You, God, because You love me And some day Your face I’ll see. Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Come and live your life in me. Help me tell my friends about You. Help them know You too, I pray, So that they can go to heaven When You come for us some day.
