4. What is the difference between selfishness or self-centeredness and self-love?
5. Certainly we are not to be self-centered, but in order for our relationship with others to be healthy, we need to love ourselves. Can you agree that God wants you to love yourself ? If so, what are some very good reasons to love yourself ?
6. Pause for a moment and write down those lies about yourself which others have been telling you.
7. Share with the group what they are and replace the lies with the truth.
8. You can love yourself because you are made in God’s image and you are loved by God. What are the ten unchangeables in life? Whenever you compare one of these unchangeables with another person or other people, you are tempted and tend to develop feelings of inferiority and it challenges your self-acceptance. What is the right way to overcome this?
