Nehemiah (Part 6)
This passage reflects on joyful partnership in God’s work and confidence in God’s faithfulness. Drawing on Paul’s assurance that God will complete the good work he began, the speaker connects this promise to Nehemiah’s perseverance in finishing the walls. Nehemiah’s prayer—“strengthen my hands”—becomes a model for staying focused and finishing well. The emphasis is on resisting distraction, setting prayerful priorities, and knowing when to say no as well as yes. Growth requires sustained focus, but believers can trust that God supplies the strength to persevere, resist distractions, and complete what he has begun.
