Study the Bible and Grow in Your Faith

Nehemiah (Part 3)

This passage reflects on Nehemiah’s response to opposition during the rebuilding effort. Nehemiah makes three decisive affirmations: God will grant success, the servants will rebuild, and the opponents have no claim or authority. In the face of resistance, he refuses the enemy’s lies, refocuses on the mission, and reaffirms God’s help. This approach becomes a model for moving out of brokenness, stagnation, and complacency. The speaker emphasizes that growth, healing, and change inevitably bring resistance, and not all critics can be trusted. Rather than reacting defensively, the faithful response is to keep moving forward in trust and obedience.
