1. When was the last time you cried? What happened? Were your cries heard by others? How did you feel?

2. Read Hebrews 5:7. What was Jesus doing in this passage? Why?

3. If the characteristic of the Kingdom of God is joy (Romans 14:17), do you think there’s room for sorrow or grief? Why? Why not?

4. Read 1 Peter 1:6. What is the relationship between joy and grief? Can they be present in a person simultaneously?
