Light Which is Life

A little girl got lost. She had wandered from her home in the sparsely wooded plains of eastern Washington State. As she chased the flitting insects, she soon realized that all the familiar landmarks were gone. In all directions, she saw only strange sights of land she did not recognize.

As night fell, she was cold, scared, and confused. She cried and screamed, but no one answered. Then, she noticed a glow in the sky in one direction and began to walk toward it. Hours later, she walked out of the dark plains into the lighted streets of a town, several miles from her home. Police and authorities were amazed she had found her way. Her explanation was simple. She had watched the light, and walked toward it!¹

“I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not be walking in the dark, but will have the Light which is Life” (John 8:12).
