Brokenness to Wholeness


1. Exodus 15:26.
“If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, your healer.”

2. I Chronicles 4:10.
“Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, ‘Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm[c] so that it might not bring me pain!’ And God granted what he asked.”

3. Job 8:5-7.
“If you will seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy, if you are pure and upright,surely then he will rouse himself for you and restore your rightful habitation. And though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great.”

4. Psalms 5:2.
“Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray.”

5. Psalms 6:2.
“Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am languishing; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are troubled.”

6. Psalms 18:6.
“In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.”

7. Psalms 28:7.
“The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.”

8. Psalms 34:17-18.
“When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

9. Psalms 37:40.
“The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.”

10. Psalms 38: 21-22.
“Do not forsake me, O LORD! O my God, be not far from me! Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!”

11. Psalms 44:26.
“Rise up; come to our help! Redeem us for the sake of your steadfast love!”

12. Psalm 51: 10-12.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.”

13. Psalm 51:15-17.
“O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”

14. Psalms 69:13.
“But as for me, my prayer is to you, O LORD. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness.”

15. Psalms 69:14-15.
“Deliver me from sinking in the mire; let me be delivered from my enemies and from the deep waters. Let not the flood sweep over me, or the deep swallow me up, or the pit close its mouth over me.”

16. Psalms 69:16-18.
“Answer me, O LORD, for your steadfast love is good; according to your abundant mercy, turn to me. Hide not your face from your servant, for I am in distress; make haste to answer me. Draw near to my soul, redeem me; ransom me because of my enemies!”

17. Psalms 69:29.
“But I am afflicted and in pain; let your salvation, O God, set me on high!”

18. Psalms 69:32-33.
“When the humble see it they will be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive. For the LORD hears the needy and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.”

19. Psalms 70:5.
“But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer;
O LORD, do not delay!”

20. Psalms 72:12.
“For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.”

21. Psalms 109:26-29.
“Help me, O LORD my God! Save me according to your steadfast love! Let them know that this is your hand; you, O LORD, have done it! Let them curse, but you will bless! They arise and are put to shame, but your servant will be glad! May my accusers be clothed with dishonor; may they be wrapped in their own shame as in a cloak!

22. Psalms 109: 30-31.
“With my mouth I will give great thanks to the LORD; I will praise him in the midst of the throng. For he stands at the right hand of the needy one, to save him from those who condemn his soul to death.”

23. Psalms 147:3.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

24. Isaiah 41:10.
” . . . fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

25. Isaiah 61:1-3.
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.”

26. Jeremiah 20:13.
“Sing to the LORD; praise the LORD! For he has delivered the life of the needy from the hand of evildoers.”

27. John 10:10.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

28. John 14:1.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”

29. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

30. 2 Corinthians 6:2.
“For he says, ‘In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.'”

31. Hebrews 4:16.
“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

32. Revelation 21:3-4.
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.’”
