Day 282: God Will Help Us

Today’s Scripture: Psalm 79:9

Central Thought: God delivers us from our distress.

Psalm 79:9 begins in many translations with ‘Help us, O God!” I have found myself in this place so many times in life, asking the Lord to help me!

There are many reasons we need help. We live in a fallen world, and life throws lots of things at us. Many times life is not fair. Yet, sometimes I find myself calling out for help for something that I got myself into.

I thank God for His mercy and grace and the fact that He always will help us—even by forgiving us and purging away our sin.

Psalm 107 repeats over and over again, ‘Lord help!” (NLT) and goes on to say, ‘They cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.” The God of the universe is your Heavenly Father. Trust Him and He will help you.

Devotional Prayer: Father I come to You in Jesus name thanking You for helping me in every situation in life, even those hard places I got into as a result of my own actions.
