Day 75: Anointing of the Holy Spirit
Author: Pastor Larry & Pat DowningThe Holy Spirit brings the same anointing to our lives that Jesus described in Luke 4. As God’s children, we can be supercharged to accomplish the same things Jesus accomplished under the Spirit’s anointing.
We will proclaim the Good News to the poor through preaching, prophesying and declaring the promises of God to those who currently do not have them. We will heal the brokenhearted through the restorative touch of the Spirit. We will preach deliverance to the captives–– deliverance even from demons and supernatural atmospheres.
We will bring recovery of sight to the blind through healings and miracles. We will also bring sight to the spiritually blind, transferring the anointing to “get it” regarding things of God, who we are in Him, church, people and the Kingdom. This recovery of sight brings a change in self-image––how we see ourselves and others. When this happens, there will naturally be a change in our circumstances, attitudes and futures.
We will set at liberty those who are bruised and oppressed. We will bring a deliverance from decaying mindsets and attitudes. And we will preach the “acceptable year of the Lord,” introducing a new day, new season and new time.
What is the Holy Spirit saying to me?
