Faith Walk: When God Says ‘No’

Author: Dr. George Flattery

In response to our prayers, sometimes God says no.

God says no because he has a better perspective, a better plan and a greater purpose in mind. Yet that can be difficult to accept because as C.S. Lewis wrote: “We are not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be.” As we struggle to embrace God’s no in our current situation, let us remember to do three things: Let us hold fast to Him, knowing that He hears us and is always at work. He does not forget us or fail us just because he says no. Let us live in hope for God is making room in our lives to move in ways that we cannot imagine. Let us keep moving forward by faith toward the better “yes” that God has for our lives.

Daily encouragements reminding us how to continually walk in faith. Taken from Dr. George Flattery's Facebook devotional series.
