Faith Walk: Praying for Gods Will

Author: Dr. George Flattery

Some people pray for rain for their crops while others pray for a sunny day so they can go to the beach.

Which request is God going to answer? That is why it is important to pray for God’s will in any given situation. Tim Keller has written: “The basic purpose of prayer is not to bend God’s will to mine, but to mold my will into His.” Even Jesus prayed in Luke 22:42: “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Let us pray knowing today God is in control and will answer our prayer according to His will which ultimately is always best for us. May His will be done.

Daily encouragements reminding us how to continually walk in faith. Taken from Dr. George Flattery's Facebook devotional series.
