Faith Walk: People of Facts
Author: Dr. George FlatteryAs we watch television or surf the internet, we receive a lot of information from different sources.
It is important to remember that not everything we read or hear is true. Proverbs 14:15 tells us, “The gullible believe everything they are told, the prudent sift and weigh every word”. It has been written, “the fewer the facts, the stronger the opinion.” As disciples of Jesus, we should not just be people of faith but also people of facts. We should test everything against God’s Word. We should be discerning by listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Let us make decisions based upon the facts and not our feelings or fads that come and go.
