Faith Walk: Mercy

To love and accept someone else does not mean that we will agree with everything they do and say.

Love says, “I will love you and tell you the truth even when your behavior offends me.” Love says, “I will plead with you to follow the right way, because I believe you are worth the risk.” In an age of tolerance which seeks to be inoffensive, glorifies division and hate and costs nothing, love takes risks, seeks unity and costs everything. While we will never approve of everything others do, we can continue to love them unconditionally. Mercy always triumphs over judgement.
