Faith Walk: Illusions of Fear

There is no greater illusion than fear.

Fear exaggerates. The fears we do not face become our limits. We always fear that which we cannot control. It has been written that we must build dikes of courage to overcome the flood of fear. Courage is nothing more than recognizing our fear and taking action against it. We will continually be gripped with fear until we decide to confront it and say, “Fear, you are not going to win over me anymore. With the help of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, I will be victorious over you.” Let us let the presence of God control our fear instead of letting our fear control us. Psalms 34:4: “I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.”
