Faith Walk: Guard our Hearts
Author: Dr. George FlatteryAristotle once said: “Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”
If we are trying to go grow in our relationship with God, or advance at our work, or really, in anything in life, we will be criticized. During those times, let us consider the source for hurting people hurt people. Let us pray for ourselves but also for the critic. Let us respond in a godly, loving way. We never fight a dragon by becoming a dragon. Let us keep focused on what God has called us to do. Let us guard our heart and attitude, knowing that it is God who defends us. We can never shake hands with a clenched fist. Let us remember that we are ultimately here to please an audience of one, God himself.
