Faith Walk: God’s Behind the Scenes

Author: Dr. George Flattery

It has been written that God is like a person who clears his throat while hiding and so gives himself away.

During certain seasons of our lives, God can seem to be hidden. Job cries out in Job 13:24, “Why do you hide your face and consider me your enemy?” We will not always feel the presence of God. During those times, let us remember this: Regardless of our emotions, when it seems like God is hiding, we can learn to be at rest, assured that God is just as fully present in our faith as He is on the days when He is present in our feelings. He may not share His plan with us, but that does not mean that He is not working behind the scenes. Will we continue to love, trust, obey, and worship God, even when we have no sense of his presence or visible evidence of his work in our lives?

Daily encouragements reminding us how to continually walk in faith. Taken from Dr. George Flattery's Facebook devotional series.
