Faith Walk: Fear of the Unknown

Author: Dr. George Flattery

Someone once said, “I am not afraid of death; I just do not want to be there when it happens.”

We all, from time to time, fear death. We fear death because we fear the unknown. We are not quite sure of what happens after we die. David assures us in Psalms 23:6 that after we die, we will live in the house of the Lord forever. To overcome our fear of death, we must let the reality of heaven master our fear. The best is yet to come. We will live in eternity with the Father where we will be released from pain, sorrow, suffering, depression and fear. Death means that we go home to be with the Lord, and who is afraid of going home?

Daily encouragements reminding us how to continually walk in faith. Taken from Dr. George Flattery's Facebook devotional series.
