Faith Walk: An Eternity of Promises

There are seasons in our lives when we are in a hurry and God is not.

We ask, “When, Lord? When are you going to answer my prayer? When will I get well? When will my friend find a job?” God wants us to build our lives on His promises, not His explanations. In the Bible, God made more than 7,000 promises to us, but he has not guaranteed that he will fulfill every one of them instantly. In fact, God doesn’t owe us an explanation for anything in our lives. God is God, and we are not. God has all of eternity to fulfill his promises. That means that some of his promises are not even going to be fulfilled in our lifetime. They’re going to be fulfilled after our earthly life is over. Our role is to continue to trust in Him and His timing for our lives. God says to us today, “Trust me, I have everything under control.”
