Day 358: Share Your Testimony

Author: Don Bailey

Today’s Scripture: Psalm 145:1-7

Central Thought: Christians have a testimony to share with those around them.

‘My grandfather always told the most interesting stories. Though he was long past his physical prime, his mind was still quite sharp, and he remembered details from 60 years ago as though they had happened yesterday.” Does this sound familiar? Many can remember times when they sat listening to an aged relative talking about their life growing up. Those who have faithfully served the Lord may recount those times when God especially moved to meet a need—to save a lost friend or loved one for whom they had been praying.

Today’s reading tells of people who testify of God’s greatness. Verse 4 states, ‘One generation will commend your works to another” (NIV). Telling the next generation the wonderful stories of God’s blessings is an awesome responsibility. Our testimony can encourage them to trust God for their own lives. Then they too will experience His wonderful provision.

We should think of the things God has done for us. Writing these things down will help us remember them so that we can share our testimony when we have the opportunity to do so. We need to look for those divine appointments to share our testimony.

Devotional Prayer: Show me those with whom I can share my testimony.
