Day 349: God Is Our Refuge

Author: Debbie Russell

Today’s Scripture: Proverbs 30:5

Central Thought: God is our refuge and help in every situation in life.

Even in the most trying times in our lives, we can be assured that God’s Word is true; it has been tested and tried. Therefore we can find help and comfort in His Word.

Psalm 91 promises that God is our refuge and fortress, a place we can run to for safety and help.

Isaiah 55:11 assures us that His Word will not return to Him void, but it will accomplish what it was sent to accomplish. We can take comfort in that promise. When life brings hard things, we can run to God’s Word and find His answers and allow Him to be our refuge.

Devotional Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus asking for Your help to face the hard times in my life. I run to You and trust You for safety and victory during the time of storm. I know Your promises to me are true, and You are my refuge and strength.
