Philip Ndagijimana is an amazing example of a child who survived the Rwandan Genocide, and against all odds, is now completing his college degree in Africa. "The Captain turned to young Philip, sitting traumatized by all he had witnessed, and said "You have real faith, run away, and don't live here anymore. Take refuge in another country for the sake of your life!" After the Genocide subsided he returned to Rwanda, where his parents were killed. He is the only remaining survivor of his family. In Kenya, Philip took any work he could find to pay his own way, and completed his schooling. In 2008 Philip enrolled at The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, in Kenya. Phiip's standing, current credits, character references and the dollar amount needed to graduate were investigated and verified. Philip has two trimesters to go to graduate. He cannot find work now, and his dream may elude him, unless some of us come alongside to help him finish strong. An effort was made to help Philip, the funds raised on Indiegogo, were sent to the University. As of June 2015 Philippe now needs $3,000 USD to complete his degree course.
