God is True and Faithful.

In this lesson, we are going to talk about how He is always true and how God is always faithful.

How wonderful that our God is true. He is always truth, and what He does and says is always true. Look at something interesting in Hebrews 6:18: “It is impossible for God to lie” (NIV). This is tremendous; God cannot even lie. Although I am a Christian and do not want to lie, I still could lie, but God cannot. Because he is always true, we can always trust him. What God says through the Bible is also 100% true. Look at what Christ said while he was praying in John 17:17: “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” The word of God is truth and sanctifies us.

Another beautiful thing is that Jesus, the Son of God, said of himself in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” Jesus answered. “No one comes to the Father except through me.” (NIV). Christ is the truth. And we remember when Christ was on trial, speaking with Pilate, the Roman governor in Jerusalem, in John 18. Look at what it says in John 18:37-38: “Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.” 38 “What is truth?” Pilate asked.” (NIV). That is still the question. What is truth, and why? Because Pilate was speaking to the truth, our Lord. This remains the same today: God is truth and true. You can trust all of God’s promises because they are all true and God’s will for our lives. We know today that there are many lies. Sometimes what people say is not true. Sometimes what we hear on the news or on the internet is not true. Obviously, many times what politicians say is not true. But what God says is always true all the time.

Because God is always true, we have a strong rock as a foundation for our faith. God is always true. This is a very good attribute of Him.

The other attribute today is that God is also faithful. That is, He always fulfills his promises and does what He says. God is faithful to His word and faithful to His people, His church, and His children. We can have complete confidence in Him because God is faithful. He will help you because He is faithful. God will never give up on your life; He will continue to work for your well-being even when you fail, because He is faithful. Faithfulness and loyalty are almost the same. God is faithful and loyal to us. It’s like people who are very faithful and loyal to their country, or soccer team, or company. These soccer fans will always be faithful and loyal even if their team has a bad season. They continue to support them and hope for the best for the next season. They are faithful. God is like that. He will continue to help us and believe in us even in our difficult times or when we have failed. He continues to help because God is faithful. I don’t know what you are going through today, but I know that God is watching over you and loves you, and that he will continue to be faithful. Look at what 1 Thessalonians 5:24 says: “He who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” (NIV)

Because He is faithful, we must also be faithful as He is.

The church and kingdom of God need faithful people. People serving faithfully, evangelizing, tithing, praying faithfully. We need people attending church faithfully. Reading and growing in the Bible. Being faithful and loyal to our God. He is an example of faithfulness because He is faithful. Not sporadically, but as God is always faithful. In good times, but also in difficult times, we keep going because we are as faithful as he is. How good and what a blessing it is that God is faithful. We can trust him because God is always faithful.

These two attributes are very good today. Our God is true, and he is always the truth, and our God is also always faithful.
