Faith Walk: Learn to Trust God

It is the reality of our Christian experience that the God of the universe, the creator of our very being, must earn our trust.

He must earn our trust. Not because of any imperfection or lack of care on His part, but because of the tendency we have to worry and put our faith in either ourselves or those around us. Psalms 146:3 tells us, “Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.” Anytime we put our complete trust in a person we set ourselves up for disappointment. People will disappoint us, and we will disappoint others. We learn to trust God by deepening our relationship with Him. As Corrie Ten Boom once said, “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
