Faith Walk: Why do we Pray?

Author: Dr. George Flattery

It has been written that the main purpose of prayer is not to make life easier, nor to gain magical powers, but “to know God.”

God has our birthdays marked on His calendar. When God turns on his iPhone, our photo comes up. God delights in meeting our needs down to the smallest request that we might have. Nothing is too big or small for him. To God, all our needs are “small” in relationship to His ability to meet them. If it is worth worrying about, it is worth praying about. Even when we do not sense his presence, his loving care is all around us. Peter writes in First Peter 5:7, “Cast all of your cares and anxieties upon Him for He cares for you.”

Daily encouragements reminding us how to continually walk in faith. Taken from Dr. George Flattery's Facebook devotional series.
