Faith Walk: Controlling the Uncontrollable
Author: Dr. George FlatteryIt has been said that worry pretends to be necessary but serves no useful purpose.
Worry is trying to control the uncontrollable. To help us stop worrying we can remember that God has promised to take care of us. We can put God first in every area of our lives. We can live one day at a time. God promises to give us the grace and the strength we need when we need it. We can pray. If it is worth panicking about it is worth praying about. “Father, we give you this day. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not yet here, today is all we have. We give you our fears, our worries, our anxieties. We know that you have everything under control. Amen.”
