What Are You Reading?

Robert Frost wrote, “Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence.”

The other day someone asked me, “What are you reading?”

I love it when people ask me that. Reading is an effective tool for a personal growth plan and good leaders know the value of personal growth. They always want to get better. A leader is a learner and a learner is a reader.

Successful leaders know what worked today will not work tomorrow. Effective leaders know how to build on fundamentals. Fundamentals are important to success in life and leadership. Consequently, it is the consistent practice of doing the little things well which leads to great success over time. Plus, leaders understand the power and value of relationships. They know you can accomplish far more with others than you can simply by yourself. I learn from others. I hope you do too.
