Faith Walk: Imperfect People

We will never have the perfect family or the perfect church because we are all imperfect, sinful people.

The idea that two imperfect, sinful people can come together and have a perfect relationship is unrealistic. We will disappoint others and others will disappoint us. They will not do what they promised or expected them to do. Everybody is normal until we get to know them. To overcome our disappointment, we must adjust our expectations and live by showing grace. Mercy always triumphs over judgement. We must remember that no human being can meet our needs in the way that only God can. Let us look away from the imperfect people around us and look to a perfect God who is the only true and dependable source of joy and happiness in our lives.
