Faith Walk: Depending Upon God
Author: Dr. George FlatteryThere is the story of a mouse and an elephant that were constant traveling companions.
One day they crossed an old wooden bridge together and because of the elephant’s weight, the bridge just shook down to its foundations. After they had gone across, the mouse turned to the elephant and said, “We really shook that old bridge, didn’t we.” Hudson Taylor once wrote: “Many Christians estimate difficulties in the light of their own resources, and thus attempt little and often fail. All giants have been weak men who did great things for God because they reckoned on His power and presence with them.” Our greatest strength lies in depending upon God.
